Wireless Analog VideoAnalog Video Selection Guide
Trango Systems NTSC/PAL video equipment can be utilized in a wide range of applications and configurations including complex systems which require multiple fixed and PTZ cameras at various distances. Our systems are compatible with all major cameras and PTZ drivers. Many examples of these applications and detailed configurations for third party equipment can be viewed at the following links: Application Notes, Configuration Notes. Factors to consider when specifying the correct wireless video equipment are the presence or possibility of radio frequency (RF) interference, quantity of fixed vs. PTZ cameras, and line-of-sight range requirements. RF InterferenceIf your installation is in a metropolitan or industrial area, particularly around airports or communication centers, it is highly recommended that you conduct a site survey. The 2.4 GHz ISM band utilized by the Eagle PLUS may be occupied by another radio device in the immediate area. If this is the case, one of our 5.8 GHz systems is highly recommmended since the 5.8 GHz ISM band is used less than 2.4 GHz. Quantity of Fixed vs. PTZ CamerasAny of our NTSC/PAL radios can be used to control the camera, provided that the camera operates on a standard protocol of either RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485. Please note that in order to use the Falcon PLUS or Eagle PLUS to send RS-422/RS-485 commands, the add-on module LC485/422 is required. If you have just one PTZ camera, you will typically need a pair of the SDR900H with AD900-8Y-RP antennas and either a Falcon PLUS or Eagle PLUS to send video back to the controlling/monitoring point (see Configuration Notes for details and example drawings). If you have multiple PTZ cameras, you will still need a Falcon PLUS or Eagle PLUS for the video links for each camera, but the SDR900H radios will be used in a Point-to-Multipoint application design. In this case a AO900-3-P omni antenna would be used with the SDR900H at the transmitting side and the AD900-8Y-RP Yagi antenna with the SDR900H at each camera (see Application Note #6). For fixed cameras you will simply need the Falcon PLUS or the Eagle PLUS for transmission of the video from the camera end to the monitoring point (see Application Note #8).
